Budleigh Salterton Dental Practice is a small and friendly private practice which has been established for over 40 years. We offer a warm welcome to all our patients and hope to make your visit as comfortable and pleasant as possible.

The practice comprises two dental surgeries and a separate hygienist's surgery and is jointly owned by Dr Thomas Olivelle and Dr Paul Maslen.

It is our practice philosophy to promote dental health at all times and therefore we recommend regular check-ups and visits to the Hygienist. If, following your initial check-up you need further dental care, we will give you a treatment plan outlining the estimated costs.

Denplan

There are various Denplan treatment schemes available to our patients should you wish to budget for your dental care. The schemes range in price per month, dependant upon the level of care you require. The dentists will be more than happy to discuss the various treatment schemes and which one would be most appropriate for you.

Patient Information

Fees:  A copy of our private fee scale is available from Reception. The fees are based on an hourly rate which covers our practice expenses and allows us to provide a high standard of care using the best modern dental materials and high quality laboratories.

Payment of fees is due at the end of each appointment on a 'pay-as-you-go' basis.

Appointments:  We always try to see patients at the appointed time but if you are kept waiting we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause. On the rare occasion that this happens there is usually a very good reason, such as seeing a patient for emergency treatment.

We will try to accommodate dental emergency appointments as soon as possible but it may be necessary to wait for a suitable space to become available during a session. For emergencies outside normal surgery hours, patients are asked to telephone the practice for details of whom to contact.

If you have to cancel an appointment, please give us at least 24 hours week-day notice. Failure to do this may result in a charge for missed surgery time, when another person, perhaps in pain, may have been seen.

Data Protection

It is our assurance that personal information about you is processed fairly and lawfully and is kept strictly confidential.

Please keep us informed of any changes to your address and/or telephone number as this helps to keep our records up to date.
